Privacy Policy
This is a draft policy for demonstration purposes only. It has not been reviewed by an attorney and should not be relied on as a legally binding privacy policy until reviewed and finalized by qualified counsel.
Information We Collect
- Insurance declarations PDFs you upload for processing, and policy details extracted from them (insurer, coverage type, dates, premium, deductible, coverage limits, and ZIP code).
- ZIP code (if provided) and insurance type entered in the "Find Carriers" search.
- Name, email address, and message entered in the contact form.
How We Use It
Extracted policy data is stored to provide carrier comparisons and recommendations to you and other users searching the same area. The policy upload and its analysis are saved as a record associated with the extracted policy.
Uploaded PDFs and Personal Information
Uploaded PDF files are processed in memory and are not saved as files. PDF text is sent to our locally hosted extraction model, but is not written to the application prompt log. We aim to exclude policyholder names, street addresses, personal phone numbers, email addresses, policy numbers, and similar details from extracted records. Automated extraction can make mistakes, so we cannot guarantee that every stored record is anonymous. A policy filename and extracted details, including a ZIP code and premium, may still identify someone. Please remove sensitive information before uploading when possible.
Data Storage
Extracted policy data is stored in a local database on our server. Upload and analysis records are stored as local files. Contact-form messages are sent by email and are not saved in the policy database. These records are handled as described below.
Third-Party Services
Policy extraction uses a locally hosted language model. Uploaded PDF content is not sent to the web search provider. Contact-form messages are sent through the email provider configured for this site.
AI Model Used for Policy Extraction
The model configured for this site is Loading model name.... This name comes from the running service and may change when the site operator updates its configuration. AI-generated policy details can be inaccurate; check important terms against the original policy.
Data Retention
Stored policy data and associated upload and analysis records are retained until deleted by an administrator. Contact us if you would like your data removed.
